If you have been classified as a CSA and you become aware of a Clery reportable offense that occurs in a Clery geographic location, you are required by law to report the crime to University Police & Public Safety. There are two ways you can report a crime. You can contact police or public safety .You can also complete a Campus Security Authority Incident Report Form. Reporting a Crime
There are two ways, and only two ways, in which a campus security authority may report a crime:
- Contact Campus Police or Public Safety
and
- Complete a Campus Security Authority Incident Report Form
Protection for People Who Report
If reporting a crime in good faith, all University employees are protected under the federal whistle blower act. Penn State has adopted policy AD74, titled "Compliance with the Clery Act," which states that no reporter making a report "in good faith" will be retaliated against, and all reports will be taken seriously.
