Connie Clery:
Truly what's happened has been, in my estimation, miraculous, that so much, so many lives are being saved through all of this information that was born from Jeanne's death.

Rep. Patrick Meehan:
The legacy of the horrible crime that happened to the Clery family is this law which is now creating the opportunity for campuses all across the country to put in place the kinds of protections that weren't there for Jeanne Clery.

Alison Kiss:
The Clerys would much rather have their daughter with them than this law in existence, but the law is here, and so what we can all do is do our part to make our campuses safer, and that means collaboration.

Edward Shupp:
Campus security authorities are partners in safety. They're the ones that students put a trust in many times.

Rep. Patrick Meehan:
And you never know when you are the one who is going to be the connector to somebody who's been a victim of violence who needs the support and the help. A CSA needs to really appreciate how special it might be that somebody has chosen to come forward to them and report an incident.

Alison Kiss:
Your role is really important. You may not receive a lot of reports. You may receive one a year or zero a year, but you need to understand what your role is, how to explain that to students, and how to report if you hear something, because typically it's going to happen when you least expect it.

Connie Clery:
What a wonderful odyssey we've been on to know that as long as colleges exist in this country, Jeanne will be saving lives, and Clery Center will be necessary; the Jeanne Clery Act will be necessary. [music]
